James Ignatowich was a tennis standout, achieving the highest rank in junior tennis, a blue chip recruit, before playing at Vanderbilt University for two years. With his natural athleticism and aggressive play style, it’s no wonder he found his footing in pickleball within a year of starting!
In February 2023, James claimed his first PPA titles at the Indoor National Championships in men’s pro singles and mixed pro doubles with Team Selkirk’s Catherine Parenteau.
James was drafted for the 2022 Major League Pickleball Newport Tournament for the Ranchers who went on to take the $100,000 prize. He currently plays for the Dallas Pickleball Club.
